The Show

Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) has been given the job of head coach of the Dillon Panthers and in small town Texas that is a job with more responsibility than that of being mayor. The pressure is high as his team begins its season. With star quarterback Jason Street (Scott Porter) leading Brian 'Smash' Williams (Gaius Charles) and Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch), it looks like nothing can stop the Panthers from going all the way to state. The season gets off to a rocky start, though, when Street is injured with very little time left to the game. Back up quarterback Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) is left to step in, completely unprepared for the job. Though the Panthers win the game, Eric Taylor's future in Dillon is now in question after the loss of his star quarterback. Now he is not only expected to lead the team to state, but he's also expected to bring the team together in the face of impossible odds. He is supported by his wife Tami (Connie Britton), who believes in her husband no matter what. Also in the picture is Jason's cheerleader girlfriend Lyla Garrity (Minka Kelly), the Taylors' daughter Julie (Aimee Teegarden), Tim's girlfriend Tyra Collette (Adrianne Palicki) and Matt's geeky best friend Landry Clarke (Jesse Plemons).

Friday Night Lights was developed for television by Peter Berg. Berg directed the big screen adaptation of the HG Bissinger novel of the same name and felt it could be brought to television. Filmed on location in Austin, TX the show has a realistic, documentary type feel to it. Since it's premiere in the fall of 2006 it has been on several critics best lists and has received the AFI Award twice and received the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcasting.

The Site

When I began watching the show I wanted to find caps so I could make icons. Now, it's not at all impossible to find good Friday Night Lights caps. There are some very nice galleries. But when I'm making things I like a lot of caps and I like to find things in one place. My friend Bonster suggested I start capping all of it as the DVDs were released. It didn't take much prodding. I enjoy screen capping, especially when the subject is filmed so beautifully.

These caps exist for your use. Fan art, icons, layouts, fanlistings. Please use them! Just don't take the full images for your own galleries, please. Credit back isn't required but it would be polite. Thank you for visiting!
